Only several weeks away, the rest of the thrilling season 8 of Smallville will continue to be awesome as the Legion of Superheroes will be in town for Smallville episode Legion.
The story will pick up in the wake of Doomsday’s destruction of Chloe’s wedding with Jimmy. Naturally, Clark is upset and wants to immediately set out to find Doomsday to engage in battle and save his kidnapped friend, but before he can do so a villain named the Persuader will show up.
Comic fans will instantly recognize the name from LoS. The Persuader, using his unique abilities, attacks a surprised Clark who is quickly and quite unexpectedly aided by three heroes from Earth’s future: Rokk, Imra and Garth. Their outfits will give comic fans geekgasms.
Oh, and some guy named Geoff Johns is writing this episode.
Awesomeness ensues and Chloe may still have some Brainiac in her. Doomsday finds out what his destiny on Earth is to be. Oh, boy.

With fresh new writing and producing talent, CW hit Smallville has been on top of its game this year with an impressive story line and new characters. This years title villain, Doomsday, showed up in dramatic fashion last week to ruin a certain Chloe Sullivan’s wedding and did a good job of knocking a certain Clark Kent out. Madness!
The only thing more mad than that winter break cliffhanger are the spoilers our buddies over at Kryptonsite.com are posting up.
Episode 11 of Season 8 of Smallville will feature three members of the Legion of Superheroes, and Geoff Johns is helping to write and produce it. Talk about not playing around with canon. Here’s Ksite’s take on it:
That Legion villian appearing in the episode was seen in the CW’s promo for January 2009 - the character is the Persuader. (The Nov. 4 “maybe they could be persuaded” spoiler was meant to be a hint)
AND
In an interview posted on IGN.com, writer Geoff Johns has revealed that we will see Legion flight rings and also makes a reference to the “villain’s weapon.” No confirmation yet on who that Legion villain will be, but maybe Johns or The CW will eventually be persuaded to spill the beans.
- Johns has revealed that Kristin Kreuk has a “powerful” and “heartfelt” scene and that Allison Mack has some “pretty intense things” to do in the episode.
- Regarding casting: “I love who they have playing the Legion. They look great. I’ll talk more about them when they’re announced,” he says. “But they freaking rock. Legion rings, the villain’s weapon — holy s**t, wait until you see HIM– “Grife!”, they are the Legion.”
- Johns seems happy with how the episode is turning out: “I’m actually surprised by how faithful the Legionnaires will be to the comics. It’s really faithful to the comic book series. Who they are as people, what they do, it’s all in there. Obviously it’s going to be a little different because they’re just coming back for the first time to meet Clark. They’re uniforms are the Smallville versions, not spandex. But I’m really happy with how faithful it is. And writing the first live action of the Legion is an honor.”
Madness, I tell you. Here’s the promo trailer for the second half of the year.
Smallville fans who have stuck it out for 8 awesome years have much to be happy about, as the new writers of Smallville have been spot on from everything to mythos and character progression in Season 8. After seeing the trailer and juicy spoilers for Smallville Season 8 Episode 10 Bride, it’s safe to say fans are going to have Super-geekgasms for what’s in store.
As always, spoiler heavy goodness lies ahead so if you don’t like to be spoiled, avert your eyes now!
As reported early by the always awesome Kryptonsite.com, this episode of Smallville will be about the wedding of Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore). As viewers so last week, Clark is supposed to give Chloe away. A task he’s not willing to turn down even though his green-clad, arrow shooting friend Oliver Queen tells him he’s found a certain missing bald super-villain who went missing last season (who likes drinking blue bottled water and lives in a castle, for those who need more clues).
It’s a good thing Clark is stubborn, because Chloe’s wedding is going to have an uninvited guest. A paramedic by the name of Davis. The kicker, however, is that Davis does more than dressed up for the wedding. He shows up as an 10 foot tall rock of evil spikes named Doomsday, aka, the one creature in DC history who managed to go toe to toe with Superman (being bred by Zod and evil wife, an amalgamation of every living creature on Krypton and evolves by death).
Fans are told ‘to NOT miss the last few seconds’ of this episode. Look for the cliff-hangers of cliffhangers for winter break. This is an episode not to miss.
